As I visit other blogs looking for hands on activities I stumbled upon a blog where the mom read a book to her child and the lunch fit the theme of the book. How I wish I was this creative. Besides does it give things in portion control (a help for dad) but it also just FUN. We are working on the rain forest so we are going to tie lunch.
We are going to use blue berry yogurt for the sky with marshmallows for the clouds banana's for the base of our trees which will be made with grain sticks and spinach leaves. A glass of water representing the rain papaya spears and strawberries as flowers. Now off to stop at the store to make this happen but first up dance class.
